Series Process Passes

This is a new series I completed in the Creative Visionary Program with Art2Life in 2026. The Summer Solstice series took up to 8 passes, the process passes are shown to show exploration and play involved in creating this series. The process is about the journey more than achieving a finished painting. It is my pleasure to share this with you!

The first three passes in the series. Each of these passes I could have stopped, however that would have ended the exploration and play. The next 4 passes, 4, 5, 6, and 7 made me pause and rethink what I was doing. I got stuck around pass 4, but I pressed on and I am glad I did. When I arrived at pass 8, I was able to punch up the color and really dial in the finished paintings, titled “Summer Solstice I, II, & III”, respectively.

The first three passes on the series, 1, 2, & 3.

The next four passes on the series, 4, 5, 6, & 7.
